WhatsApp is one of the most diverse apps in terms of functionality, and it has not only made our lives easier but also helped people communicate with one another and removed the barriers between all of us. Continuing with its heritage of making people’s lives easier, WhatsApp has announced many new features for its Android users, including but not limited to Avatars and an increased media sharing limit. It appears that it now wishes to do something for its iOS customers, and in order to do so, it has introduced WhatsApp picture-in-picture calls on iOS.

For those who are unfamiliar with picture in picture mode, this feature allows users to make and receive calls while while performing other tasks on their phones.

WhatsApp Picture-in-Picture calls on ios-A true Multitasking Support

Picture-in-picture (PiP) mode allows users to watch a video in a smaller window while performing other operations on their devices. For example, if you are viewing a tutorial or speaking with someone via WhatsApp video call, you can do both at the same time. Earlier, while on a video call with someone, one could not surf social media or compose an email, and the only way to do so was to end the video call.

When the two jobs being performed concurrently, the PiP window can be moved and scaled as needed by the user so that it does not interfere with other operations being performed at the same time.

To use this functionality, iOS users must upgrade their app to the newest V23.3.77 version. People will be able to multitask during video calls thanks to this upgrade, and they will no longer have to choose between remaining in touch with friends and family via voice/video chat and getting their other work done. Without a doubt, this feature to WhatsApp on iOS will improve the user experience when making Video Calls.
