What exactly do letters mean? Is the letter “S” supposed to stand for speed? And, if so, does that imply that “T” stands for turbo? Will the “turbo” remark make sense in a decade or two with the introduction of electric cars? None of these queries are answered by the Xiaomi 12T Pro. But that’s okay since it’s a phone and not a human philosophizing late at night in a pub.

Nonetheless, it may still be perplexing because many people believe the 12T Pro is the successor to the 12 Pro. The launch timeline is certainly consistent with anything like that, but it is not correct. On the other hand, the 12T Pro is a new take on the flagship smartphone, one that is closer to the “flagship killer” notion, whereas the 12 Pro without the T is an all-out spec monster.
