WhatsApp will increase the privacy of audio messages
According to WaBetaInfo, Meta-owned WhatsApp is introducing a new feature that will let users send audio messages that can only be played once.
The messaging app is receiving the new update, which brings the version to 2.23.7.8, according to the app-tracking website.
For increased privacy, the audio messaging feature will only play once when activated. As it is currently in development, this will be accessible in a future release.
WhatsApp already offers the ability to send photographs and movies that can only be viewed once. The app is currently working on audio messaging.
“Audio messages sent by using this mode will be playable only once. As happens with view-once images and videos, audio messages sent as view-once cannot be saved, forwarded, or recorded for added privacy. According to the app-tracking website,
This feature would improve the privacy and security of communication for its users by allowing the audio message to play only once, limiting the possibility of someone else listening to or accessing the voice note afterwards.
This feature would aid in the protection of sensitive and confidential information transmitted between people via the messaging app.
