The Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) has launched a number of new measures to promote tourism around the country, including marketing the country’s natural landscape, history, culture, and archeological sites to tourists.

According to an official, the PTDC plans to develop a tourism application to inform foreign and domestic travelers about their location.

He stated that the corporation has already established Tourist Information Centers (TIC) at various airports to provide accurate information to tourists, and that it is also planning to establish a modern TIC at the new International Gwadar airport to assist tourists by providing comprehensive information about the province’s recreational sites.

He went on to say, “PTDC is projecting the country as a tourist friendly destination in bringing Pakistan amongst top five tourist destinations of Asia and marketing of tourist places at home and abroad through tourism show and exhibitions to generate revenues.”

The tourism sector, according to the official, contributes significantly to the national exchequer, and the PTDC is improving infrastructure and services within the country to assist travelers.

He went on to say, “PTDC, with the collaboration of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has kicked off an effective cleanliness campaign at different parks of the federal capital to ensure neat and clean environment to attract numerous tourists in a healthy ambiance.”

According to the official, the campaign’s start was intended to ensure a clean environment. He advised tourists to keep the capital city’s tourist areas clean as people from all across the country go to the twin towns of Islamabad and Rawalpindi for relaxation and tourism.

It is worth noting that a big number of tourists, both locals and foreign dignitaries, visit the country’s recreational places to enjoy the nice and gorgeous weather as well as the tranquil ambiance.
