Discover How Google Pixel phones Call Assist Works
Google is poised to unveil its highly anticipated Pixel 9 series at the upcoming “Made by Google” event this August.
Ahead of the launch, rumors suggest that the new Pixel 9 lineup will feature advanced artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, including Google Gemini, Magic Editor, and Pixel Screenshots Circle to Search.
Additionally, Google is developing an AI-driven spam detection tool named “Sharpie,” which will be part of the Gemini AI suite. This tool will identify and alert users to spam calls, enhancing phone security.
The Gemini Nano AI tool will monitor all incoming calls and allow Pixel users to manually report and verify whether a call is legitimate. Unlike Gemini or ChatGPT, which operate in the cloud, this AI tool will be integrated directly into the device, improving its efficiency.
This feature will be exclusive to devices that support Gemini Nano, including the Pixel 8, Pixel 8a, Pixel 8 Pro, and the Samsung Galaxy S24 series.
Furthermore, Google is introducing a new “Lookup” button feature in the Pixel 9 series. This function will enable users to identify the source of unknown numbers by simply tapping the button, helping to distinguish between genuine callers and spam.
