Xiaomi launches Smart Band 9, and Buds 5 globally

Xiaomi hosted a major product launch event in Berlin today, unveiling the new Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro smartphones. Alongside the phones, the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 and Xiaomi Buds 5 also made their global debut.

The Smart Band 9 and Buds 5 were first introduced in China back in July. The Smart Band 9 made its European debut in August, priced at €39.

The Smart Band 9 comes with a 1.62-inch AMOLED display featuring a 60 Hz refresh rate and 1,200-nit peak brightness. It includes an upgraded heart rate sensor, an aluminum alloy frame, and offers up to 21 days of battery life. It tracks various health metrics like heart rate, blood oxygen levels, sleep, stress, and offers over 150 sports modes.

Xiaomi Buds 5 features a semi-in-ear design with 11mm dual-magnet drivers and Harman AudioEFX sound tuning. They provide 39 hours of total listening time and support Qualcomm’s aptX Lossless audio codec. The Buds 5 also come with active noise cancellation (ANC) and have IP54 water and dust resistance.
