Xiaomi 15 series release date and key features

Xiaomi has officially announced that it will launch its new flagship smartphones, the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Pro, in China on October 29. The launch event will start at 7:00 pm in China (4:30 pm IST) and will introduce several other products, including the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, Xiaomi Pad 7 series, and Band 9 Pro.

In addition to the smartphones, Xiaomi will unveil its latest operating system, HyperOS 2.0, based on Android 15, during the event.

The Xiaomi 15 series is expected to feature a sleek, micro-curved screen design and an enhanced Leica-tuned triple-camera setup, similar in layout to the previous Xiaomi 14 series. The color options will closely resemble those of its predecessor, suggesting a continuation of the established design.

The Xiaomi 15 has a 6.36-inch display protected by Xiaomi’s new Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0. The phone’s quad-curved screen design enhances its visual appeal.

Notably, the series will also debut the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, confirmed by Xiaomi Senior Vice President Adam Zeng, making it the first smartphone to feature this advanced chipset globally.

Additionally, the Xiaomi 15 series will incorporate Xiaomi’s HyperCore technology to improve overall performance.

While the phones are set to launch in China, they are expected to be available in international markets in the coming months, marking a global rollout for Xiaomi’s latest innovations.
