Pakistan is set to experience the final supermoon of the year tonight.  The supermoon will be visible at 2:28 AM PST. During this celestial event, the moon will appear 14% larger and 30% brighter than usual, renowned astronomer Dr. Iqbal stated.

He further explained that the distance between the Earth and the Moon will be 360,378 kilometers, significantly closer than their average orbital distance of 384,400 kilometers.

Earlier this year, Pakistan witnessed its first supermoon on August 20. The event captivated skywatchers across the country, including residents of Karachi, Quetta, and Lahore.

The August supermoon, referred to as the “Blue Supermoon,” was an extraordinary occurrence, combining a supermoon and a blue moon—an event that takes place only once every decade. It marked the third supermoon of the season and appeared 14% larger and 30% brighter than a typical full moon.

This rare phenomenon created a magical ambiance, with the brilliant moonlight enchanting viewers across Pakistan. The sight of the luminous moon against the night sky left a lasting impression on spectators.
