Google introduces Circle to Search-style feature for iPhones
Google has launched a new Lens feature for iPhone users worldwide, making it easier to search for anything on their screen. This update brings a “Circle to Search”-like functionality to iOS, similar to what Android users already have.
Lens Feature on iOS
Available on the Google app and Chrome browser, this feature allows users to highlight text, images, or videos to get instant search results. Instead of taking screenshots or opening new tabs, users can simply draw, highlight, or tap on the screen to start a search.
The feature offers multiple functions, including:
- Searching shopping results from product images
- Defining words and phrases
- Identifying locations, plants, and animals
- Handling various other search queries
How to Use Google Lens on iPhone?
To enable this feature in Chrome or the Google app, users need to:
- Open the three-dot menu
- Select “Search Screen with Google Lens”
In the future, Google plans to introduce a Lens icon in the address bar for quick access. Additionally, AI overviews will be expanded to more Lens search results, providing summarized information and relevant URLs.
With this update, iPhone users can now enjoy a faster and more interactive search experience directly from their screens.
