Redmi 15C vs TECNO Spark 40: Which Budget Phone is Better in 2025?
Smartphone buyers in Pakistan have a lot of options in the price range of PKR 32,000 to 34,000. Among them, two phones stand out the most: the Redmi 15C and the TECNO Spark 40. Both are affordable and promise good performance, but their focus is different. Redmi highlights a big battery and a large screen, while TECNO tries to give users a more complete and balanced experience.
When it comes to battery, the Redmi 15C comes with a huge 6000mAh battery supported by 33W charging. This means it lasts long but takes more time to fully charge. On the other hand, the TECNO Spark 40 has a slightly smaller 5200mAh battery, but it charges much faster with 45W Super Charge. In real life, a quick 15-minute charge on the Spark 40 feels more useful than waiting for a big battery to fill up.
In terms of display, Redmi offers a 6.9-inch screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, but the HD+ resolution makes visuals look less sharp, and its old-style notch makes the phone look outdated. TECNO also has 120Hz refresh rate but with sharper visuals, modern punch-hole design, and extra support for using the screen even with wet or sweaty hands, making it more practical and premium.
Both phones are resistant to dust and water with IP64 rating, but the Spark 40 has an extra edge with drop protection up to 1.5 meters, which makes it more durable for everyday use. Inside, both phones use the MediaTek Helio G81 chipset, which is fine for daily use and light gaming. Still, TECNO adds more features like dual DTS speakers for better sound, an infrared remote to control appliances, expandable memory, and its own AI assistant called Ask Ella.
In design, the Spark 40 is slimmer, lighter, and easier to handle compared to the heavier Redmi 15C. Younger users may find its punch-hole display and sleek body more attractive.
The prices in Pakistan are close: TECNO Spark 40 with 128GB storage and extended RAM costs PKR 32,999, while the Redmi 15C with the same storage and RAM is slightly higher at PKR 33,999. This means Spark 40 not only offers more features but also comes at a lower price.
Overall, the Redmi 15C is made for long usage with its large battery and big screen, but that doesn’t make it the best choice. The TECNO Spark 40 provides faster charging, stronger durability, better design, and more useful features, all at a slightly lower cost. For anyone buying a budget smartphone in Pakistan in 2025, the TECNO Spark 40 comes out as the smarter and more future-ready option.
