SEOUL: Nvidia (NVDA.O) has announced a series of strategic collaborations with leading South Korean companies, including SK Hynix, Naver, SK Telecom, LG Group and Doosan, as it strengthens its global AI supply chain and secures advanced memory chip production for future technologies.

The agreements were revealed during Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang’s high-profile visit to South Korea, where he engaged with top business leaders and discussed the company’s expanding focus on artificial intelligence, robotics and next-generation computing systems.

Although the value of the deals was not disclosed, SK Group confirmed that its semiconductor unit SK Hynix has entered a long-term technology partnership with Nvidia to develop advanced memory solutions designed for AI-driven data centres. The move aims to meet surging global demand for high-performance chips.

Both companies said the partnership will support Nvidia’s growing ambitions in AI supercomputing, robotics and advanced computing infrastructure. Huang highlighted SK Hynix as a key and long-term memory partner in Nvidia’s global supply chain.

Under separate agreements, SK Telecom will develop a large-scale AI cloud infrastructure, while Naver and Doosan will utilize Nvidia’s technology to build and expand AI-powered data centres.

Nvidia also announced deeper cooperation with LG Group, focusing on electronics, robotics and future data centre architecture, including power systems, cooling solutions and design innovation.

The latest deals come as South Korea’s semiconductor sector continues to benefit from strong global AI demand, with SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics remaining major players in the memory chip market.

Despite recent volatility in global tech stocks, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang dismissed concerns, expressing confidence that the long-term outlook for artificial intelligence remains highly optimistic.
