Karachi: Xiaomi has officially launched the Redmi Pad 2 in Pakistan, introducing both WiFi and 4G variants as part of its latest tablet lineup.
The new devices offer a high-resolution display, Snapdragon chipset, long-lasting battery and Xiaomi’s latest HyperOS, catering to users looking for an affordable entertainment and productivity device.
The Redmi Pad 2 WiFi is priced at Rs55,799, while the Redmi Pad 2 4G is available for Rs63,499. The 4G variant offers additional mobile connectivity through dual SIM support, making it suitable for users who require internet access on the go.
The Redmi Pad 2 features a 9.7-inch 2K LCD display with a resolution of 2048 × 1280 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate and a 16:10 aspect ratio, delivering smoother visuals and an improved viewing experience.
The display offers up to 500 nits of typical brightness and 600 nits in outdoor mode. It also carries TÃœV Rheinland Low Blue Light, Flicker Free and Circadian Friendly certifications designed to reduce eye strain during extended use.

Both models feature a metal unibody design and are available in Graphite Gray and Silver colour options. Xiaomi has also equipped the tablets with quad stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio support and a 3.5mm headphone jack for an enhanced multimedia experience.
Powering the Redmi Pad 2 is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 processor, built on a 6nm architecture and paired with an Adreno 610 GPU.
The tablets are available with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and either 64GB or 128GB UFS 2.2 storage, depending on the variant. Storage can be expanded through a microSD card of up to 2TB.
In Pakistan, the WiFi model comes in 4GB+64GB and 4GB+128GB configurations, while the 4G model is offered in a 4GB+128GB variant.
Both devices run on Xiaomi HyperOS 3, providing the company’s latest software features and system optimisations.
The WiFi version supports WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, Miracast, WiFi Direct and USB Type-C connectivity.
The 4G variant adds Dual SIM Dual 4G support along with navigation technologies including GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BDS.
For photography and video calls, both tablets feature an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera, with support for 1080p video recording at 30fps. Xiaomi has also included AI Face Unlock for secure device access.
The Redmi Pad 2 series is powered by a 7,600mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging via USB Type-C. Xiaomi, however, ships the tablet with a 15W charger in the box.

With its premium build, high-refresh-rate display, Snapdragon processor and optional 4G connectivity, the Redmi Pad 2 is positioned as Xiaomi’s latest mid-range tablet offering for consumers in Pakistan.
