After Molly Ava puts on size 10 trousers from two retailers – and they fit very differently – a fitness influencer has criticised garment sizes.

Molly is a fitness coach who frequently shares her advice with her 41,000 Instagram followers.

When she’s not working up a sweat and giving her adoring fans lifestyle and mentality advice, the brunette publishes body positive content to criticise the aesthetic norms that are imposed on women.

Molly also recently chastised clothing sizing after a shopping excursion revealed how products from different retailers might appear to be very different.

The influencer tried on a pair of H&M cargo trousers in a size 10 and liked them.

Molly, on the other hand, did not have much luck as she found herself in clothing that was considerably too big for her.

The fitness fan lifted the waistband of her bottoms to illustrate the vast gap between them and her physique in a mirror selfie.

Molly Ava then tried on some Stradivarius cargo pants, but her luck ran out once more.

Molly struggled to get the beige trousers past her thighs this time since they were way too tiny.

She explained in the caption: “So on the left is an H&M size 10,

“On the right is a Stradivarius size 10…

“One was HUGE and the other one got half way up my legs?! What’s all that about.

“Just a reminder that the size on a tag doesn’t equal a SET SIZE, all companies ideas of sizes vary so much both from brand to brand and from item to item. Size 10 cargos [are] too big in H&M yet size 12 jeans fit me perfectly – madness.”

Molly Ava asked her followers to avoid having negative sentiments about their bodies because of a number on a clothes label.

She said: “Don’t let it get you down bc they’re quite frankly a load of bulls***.”
