The rare and endangered Indian narrow-headed softshell turtle, which takes nearly two decades to procreate, had 41 hatchlings at the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance.

A conservation organisation hatched these unusual turtle eggs in North America for the first time, NPR reported.

The San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance is a global, non-profit conservation organisation with two entrances, according to its website.

They provide long-term conservation solutions through animal health, science, and education.

Conservation is at the heart of everything they do. And it all starts with the people and things they meet and do every day. Because all life does better when wildlife does well.
