Fish frog crossover on front “legs” puzzles social media users

A viral video of a fish “standing on legs” had viewers scratching their heads, wondering if the species had evolved.

The brief video shows a carp fish gasping for breath while “standing” on its fins on ice.

The footage may have been posted online in December 2019 and resurfaced on Twitter.

“A fish frog crossover?!” the post on Tuesday.

Some people said the fish had “frog legs” because it didn’t walk on ice in the video.

One commented, “I think that’s too fast for evolution.”

“Okay then, I guess it’s about time to pack and leave this planet before this thing grows bigger and starts hunting humans,” a second joked.

Some suspected the carp was captured and made to stand on its fins in order to pose in a “standing position.”

“This fish has obviously been placed there,” a spectator observed. “The mouth opening and closing means it’s trying to breathe, also the gills are dilating.”

Another person remarked it’s “cruel” to watch a fish struggle to survive without water.

“Put the poor thing back in the water and stop filming it dying!” yelled a third.

The foot-long object, according to experts, was a humpback whale penis that had been “bitten off.”

They claimed that if it came from a humpback whale, “it is very unlikely that it was bitten off by another.”
