Miracle dog found on motorway 10 years after going missing

A kind person took the Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross to the vet “running between cars” on a busy road.

After discovering her Cornwall microchip, vets named her Ruby. Cornwall Live says her microchip had no additional information to find her owners.

Ruby vanished after Harlow’s M11 dash on Saturday.

The dog went missing. Solving the mystery returns Ruby to her owners. Lauren Benge, who found the pet, took it to Kew Vets in Essex. 2015 staff found her chipped and missing from Cornwall.

The dog’s chip was nameless.

Kew Vets reached voicemail on the microchip number that initially rang. Staff message blocked number.

A spokesperson said the dog will visit the dog warden today or tomorrow.

After the vet, the warden will kennel Ruby. She’ll stay until she’s adopted.

“Ruby’ll live.

“Ruby is an older Staffy and has a lump that might need treatment—we do not know what it is,” a spokesperson said.

“Vets hope the dog is identified and returned.”
