A woman doctor was arrested on Monday for reportedly attacking a roadside business selling earthen lamps and destroying all of the merchandise in the store in Lucknow’s Gomti Nagar neighbourhood. During Diwali, a video of the lady trashing the stall went viral on social media. According to accounts, the widow was dissatisfied with the stalls placed up in front of her house and had warned the shops to remove them. When the shops refused to remove the stalls, she allegedly poured water on them, breaking them. According to the police.

The video quickly went viral on the internet, causing public indignation on social media sites. People have chastised the woman for her arrogance. The merchants then filed a written complaint against the woman, and she was charged with a non-cognizable offence (NCO).

According to reports, a top official stated that the stall was built opposite the doctor’s apartment rather than in front of it. A few stalls are set up during this time every year, the cop added. The police have stated that they are investigating the event, and the doctor has been charged under numerous sections of the Indian Penal Code, including Sections 427 (mischief causing damage) and 504 (mischief causing death) (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace).
