The crocodile is one of the most lethal predators in the wild, capable of crushing their victims to death with their nasty jaws. We frequently observe birds flying near these terrifying crocs. Plovers sit on the backs of crocodiles while they swim in the water. In a gesture of genuine symbiosis, they sometimes clean the croc’s teeth. The reptile does not hurt the birds because the strange relationship benefits both. While the crocodile’s teeth are being cleaned, the bird can readily catch fish as the reptile moves it deeper into the water.

A video of an egret bird perched atop a croc while it glides in the water has been making the rounds on the Internet. An account called Viral Hog published the amusing footage on Instagram. The caption reads, “Surf’s up.”

The video shows an egret seated on a croc in a pond, as though enjoying a free ride in the water. The bird appears to be at ease around the wild reptile, and the gator does not appear to mind carrying its winged companion on its back. The two sail across waters packed with crocodiles. Despite being surrounded by crocs, the egret appears to be in a safe habitat in the video. According to casual observers, the bird and the croc may have struck into an unspoken friendship.

The strange connection between the egret and the crocodile has clearly piqued the interest of social media users. They’ve flooded the comments area with amusing responses. One user referred to the croc as a “Ubergator.” “Ubergator. For extreme rides,” another observed. ‘HAAAHAHAHA THAT BIRD IS GANGSTAAA,’ said a third person.

The now-viral video has received over 134,000 views on Instagram since it was shared. What are your thoughts on the bird and croc’s incredible bonding?
