Read viral: Pakistani family awarded Guinness World Record for holding same birthdays
The Guinness World Record for “most family members born on the same day” has been set by a Pakistani family, whose nine members all have the same birthday on August 1.
Amir Azad Mangi and his family from Larkana have achieved this extraordinary feat, breaking the record that had been held since 1966 by a five-person American family.
Amir Azad Mangi, his wife Khadija, and their seven children—including two sets of twins—make up the record-holding family.
Mr. Mangi was born on August 1st, 1968; his wife was born on August 1st, 1973; their first daughter Sindhu was born on August 1st, 1992; twin daughters Sassi and Sapna were born on August 1st, 1998; first son Amir was born on August 1st, 2001; second son Ambar was born on August 1st, 2002; and twin sons Amar and Ahmer were born on August 1st, 2003.
It’s interesting that Mr. Mangi’s wedding anniversary also happens to fall on that day, making it a special occasion for the whole family.
The children have been enrolled in higher education institutions, primarily in the engineering and science sectors, and not only share their birthday with their father but also his love of learning.
To ultimately get recognition and remove American citizens Carolyn and Ralph Cummins from power, it took the family three years.
The Guinness Book of World Records informed the family that their verification was successful in December 2020.
He obtained the certificate in July 2021 after it had been processed in March 2021.
