Baby koala falls asleep
Do you like to sleep in on the weekends? But koala bears do the same thing every day of the week, not just on the weekends. Koalas don’t have a lot of energy, so when they aren’t eating leaves, they spend most of their time sleeping on the branches of trees. These cute animals are native to Australia and can sleep for up to 18 hours a day.
A video of a mother koala sitting on a branch of a tree while holding her baby is making the rounds on the internet. This video was posted on Twitter by the page called “buitengebieden,” which often shares recordings of cute and funny animal behaviour. It’s been seen by almost 6.1 million people, and 297 thousand of them liked it.
On the video, you can see the mother koala gently holding her baby, called a “joey,” in her arms as she yawns in the cutest way you can imagine right before going to sleep. Before going to sleep, the mother koala gently puts her head on top of her baby’s. Don’t you think this is the most important thing you’ve seen today?
