A black family from Baltimore, US filed a $25 million class action lawsuit for racial discrimination against Sesame Place outside Philadelphia.
During a meet-and-greet, various costumed characters allegedly declined to shake Jodi Brown’s 5-year-old daughter and niece’s hands, according to reports.
Jodi Brown posted a nine-second video to Instagram showing Rosita high-fiving a white child and adult, then signalling “no” and walking away from the two girls who had their arms out for a hug and high-five during the parade at Sesame Place in Langhorne.
The footage of the incident has gone viral on social media. Some called for a boycott of the amusement park online.
