Army rescues LUMS students stuck in landsliding
Pakistan Army saved 22 students of Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS)...
LUMS’s students organize shaadi day & internet is going crazy over it
Universities typically mix food and lengthy speeches for parties, but LUMS students decided to take the celebrations a step further and came up with the wonderful but bizarre idea of shaadi day! How does that work properly?
A three-day mock wedding is staged after a campaign in which two seniors are chosen to play the roles of the bride and groom. Students from Lums have provided videos from the activities, and it was quite wholesome to watch.
the Ashoka university of Pakistan aka LUMS had a fake shaadi celebration for a fest or something 😭😭😭😭 https://t.co/PoPwN60Gnh

This is really intersting, Lums having an annual fake shaadi, where two seniors are picked to get married, sounds so fun. this mock weeding of two handsome students just for fun is really interesting.
QAU students must learn from LUMS how to spread love instead of bigotry. pic.twitter.com/bxQ2MB1g2y— Salma (@HunzaiSalma) March 13, 2023
It is heartening that some students are donning their creative caps to plan something like this, in contrast to the intolerance and violence we routinely encounter in colleges. We hope additional institutions imitate what these students are doing to create inclusive events for some lighthearted fun. What these students are doing is great. Why are you so critical of other people’s happiness, naysayers who deem this cringe-worthy and overhyped? We should cease overly policing students and allow them to have fun, especially in light of the numerous acts of racism and violence that continue to occur in campuses.
So cute to watch current batch kids celebrating the whole wedding festives. And at same nostalgic for old times. Ahhh I am old 😌 https://t.co/TLaA3gxZ2S

Two batchmates who hate each other are fake married off, only to later find out they’re related by blood and it’s written in the stars 😍 https://t.co/BWlTEHfBCMAdvertisement— Derpinder Singh Saluja (@copechandani) March 13, 2023
