Watch: Leopard hunts Monkey with incredible backflip

Undoubtedly, the best wildlife hunters belong to the cat family. The feline species has performed some amazing hunts, as we have seen numerous times. Tigers, lions, and leopards are among the top predators, along with the cats that live in our homes and neighbourhoods and those that inhabit the grasslands and jungles of Asia and Africa.

In this widely shared video, a leopard is seen hunting a monkey. On a tree, the complete scene is set. The leopard follows the monkey as it ascends the tree. The leopard then chases the monkey as it jumps to the ground. Once more scaling the tree, the monkey ascends to the summit, where the branches are flimsy and considerably higher off the ground.

The monkey climbs up the branch on the other side but is startled when the leopard follows it up there. The leopard, however, attempts the unthinkable and leaps, performs a backflip, and then catches the monkey. In the space of a few seconds, all of this occurs.

Weird and Terrifying @weirdterrifying posted the video to Twitter with the caption, “Leopard does a sick backflip to catch a monkey.”

The leopard made an unthinkable move with this. But, given the feline’s reputation, it strangely makes sense and serves as further evidence of the amazing abilities Mother Nature has endowed cats with.
