Who is Makena Moore? All About Taylor Lautner’s Sister

Even though Makena Moore isn’t into acting like her brother Taylor Lautner, they still have a special connection.

Makena, who is six years younger, played a big role in Taylor’s life. She introduced him to his wife, Taylor Dome, whom she met at a Nashville church. Nowadays, Makena works on their podcast, The Squeeze.

Makena is happily married to Jacob Moore. They had multiple wedding celebrations in 2020 and had a son named Breckon in 2022. Taylor Lautner, known for Scream Queens, is a loving uncle and shares pictures of their time on social media.

In 2019, on National Sibling Day, Moore paid a special tribute to her brother on Instagram.

“Tay, I love you tons,” She wrote a description for a picture of herself, where she’s proudly displaying her engagement ring and posing beside Lautner.

“You are seriously the best big brother in the world. I am so so thankful for how close we are & I know nothing will ever come in between us.”

The siblings are originally from Hudsonville in Grand Rapids, Michigan, but they moved to Santa Clarita, California, in 2003 because of Lautner’s acting career, according to MLive. In California, Moore went to Valencia High School, where she played volleyball and arranged TEDx talks.

Even though they left the Midwest when they were kids, Lautner and Moore still feel a strong connection to their hometown. In 2019, she posted a picture of them together on a beach in Michigan.

She joked in her caption, “but you can’t take the Michigan out of the kids…”

In 2016, when she was a senior in high school, Moore did a TEDx talk called “Unexpected.” In the talk, she shared how she worked hard to become good at volleyball but had to stop playing because of tough health issues.

First, she injured her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), which is part of the knee. After a lot of rehab and training through the pain, she managed to come back to playing volleyball in her junior year of high school.

But, shortly after returning, she found out she had a heart condition called supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), which made her heart beat too fast. She had a procedure called ablation, and doctors said she could go back to playing volleyball in a week. Sadly, her nerves got damaged during the surgery, and she had to quit the sport for good.
