Annie Starke, daughter of acclaimed actress Glenn Close, was born on April 26, 1988, to Close and her ex-partner, producer John Starke. Raised in Bedford, New York, Annie enjoyed a “profoundly normal childhood” despite her mother’s fame, spending time outdoors and surrounded by nature.

Annie pursued her passion for acting after earning a degree in art history from Hamilton College in 2007. Growing up on film sets, she was first introduced to Hollywood at just seven weeks old during the filming of Dangerous Liaisons. Later, she frequently joined her mother on sets, including 101 Dalmatians.

In June 2018, Annie married Marc Albu in an intimate ceremony at her childhood home in Bedford Hills. The couple met in college and celebrated their wedding with a “bohemian BBQ” style event.
