A new spell of rainfall is likely to hit most of the areas in the country from Saturday.

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, the spell may last till Monday.

A few districts in the south and central part of Punjab may experience fog today. In addition to this, fog can also cover the upper areas of Sindh.

Weather will remain cold and dry in several areas whereas the temperature will remain extremely low in northern areas of Pakistan.

PMD has asked the officials to remain alert as there is a danger of over spilling in the local drainage systems.

Several areas of Punjab including Multan, Khanewal, Toba Tek Singh, Gujranwala, Narowal, Lahore, Bahawalpur, DG Khan, Sargodha, Hafizabad, Faisalabad, Okara, and Rahimyar Khan remain covered with fog.

Weather will remain dry and cold in various areas of Sindh, according to PMD. The upper areas of Sindh are predicted to be covered in fog.

Apart from these, the weather will be cold and dry in most of the districts of Baluchistan.

Also, the temperature in Karachi will be cold and dry.

Thick fog blankets Punjab and Sindh

The temperature will be extremely low in Quetta, Kalat, and Ziarat whereas rain spells may hit Gawader, Kach and Chaghai.

Similarly, people in several districts of KPK will experience cold and dry weather whereas people in Malakand, Sawat and Buner will experience extreme low temperatures.
