The weather in Karachi is fair and sunny today, according to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The minimum temperature recorded today in Karachi was 16.5 Degrees Celsius and can remain from 16 to 19 Degrees Celsius till the next two days.

On the other hand, the maximum temperature can range from 30 to 32 degrees Celsius today.

Weather will be dry and fair in several parts of the country whereas it will remain cold in the northern parts of Pakistan.

According to the website of the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the minimum temperatures recorded yesterday (in degrees Celsius) were Skardu (-5), Astore (-5), Kalam (-4), Gopes (-4), Para Chinar (-3), and Bagrot (-1).

Sandstorm in Canary Islands disturbs tourism

Sandstorm from the Sahara blanketed Spain’s Canary Islands. Sandstorm has affected tourism in the region.

Spain’s airport operator Aena has canceled and suspended all the flights flying to and from Islands on Sunday (yesterday).

Aena has diverted the flights as well due to poor visibility. But Aena has restarted the flight operations on Sunday night except for Tenerife South.

The regional government had issued a state of alert on Saturday. Authorities have also advised people to stay indoors and close windows.

Winds of over 120km/h could cover the canaries until Monday, according to Spain’s national weather service.

Strong winds have covered the islands with dense clouds of sands from Saharan desert which is around 500km across the Atlantic Ocean.

Heliski expedition invited more than 60 international skiers in Shogran.

Heliski expedition was held in Shogran jointly under Afiniti and ISPR.

The long-week expedition invited more than 60 foreign skiers including high-level foreign dignitaries from various countries.

A press statement mentioned that the competition was organized to “promote tourism and explore the immense potential of Pakistan’s snow-clad mountains for adventure sports”.
