
Heavy rainfall predicted in Pakistan tonight
KARACHI – Rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in Karachi, Hyderabad and parts of Sindh on Friday evening/night and Saturday.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from Arabian Sea penetrate southern parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave prevails over upper parts of the country.

On Friday evening and night, there’s a chance of rain, wind, and thunderstorms in places like Sukkur, Kashmore, Khairpur, Larkana, Dadu, Badin, Thatta, Sajawal, Karachi, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Hyderabad, Tharparkar, Umarkot, Mithi, Mirpur Khas, and Sanghar. Heavy rain is expected in Tharparker, Badin, and Sajawal.
On Saturday evening and night, there might be some rain, wind, and thunderstorms in different places like Kashmore, Larkana, Dadu, Badin, Thatta, Sajawal, Karachi, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Hyderabad, Tharparkar, Umarkot, Mithi, Mirpur Khas, and Sanghar.
Karachi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 36-38°C on Saturday and Sunday.
Hyderabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 40-42°C on Saturday and 41-43°C on Sunday.
In the last 24 hours, there were rain and thunderstorms in parts of southeast and lower Sindh. Elsewhere in the province, the weather was hot and humid.

Khairpur, Dadu and Jacobabad remained the hottest places in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 45°C.
In Karachi, maximum temperature was recorded at 38°C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 82 per cent.
In Hyderabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 41°C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 85 per cent.
