Georgians will vote in the primary runoff elections 2022. Multiple statewide races and congressional primaries are being decided by voters.

Three Republican congressional runoffs are scheduled; two of which are in heavily Republican districts.
A frontrunner in two Democratic congressional runoffs is a candidate who lost to a Republican in 2020.
Finally, 11 state legislative runoffs are scheduled including one Republican incumbent and one Democratic incumbent; in the state House.

The polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.; voters can use the My Voter Page on the Georgia Secretary of State’s website; to verify their voter registration status, polling location, and examine a sample ballot.

Lieutenant Governor

Former Atlanta City Council member Kwanza Hall led all candidates in the May 24 primary. Second-place finisher Charlie Bailey; the Democratic contender for attorney general in 2018; is attempting to overcome Hall; with the support of Democratic leaders including as Stacey Abrams.
The winner will face Republican state Senator Burt Jones; who won the primary on May 24 after receiving Trump’s endorsement.

Labor Commissioner

Both state Rep. William Boddie Jr. and entrepreneur Nicole Horn have focused on reforming the state Labor Department.

Republican incumbent Mark Butler is not seeking re-election; and the party has selected state Sen. Bruce Thompson of White to replace him.

Insurance Commissioner 

Raphael Baker, an insurance salesman, and Janice Laws Robinson, a 2018 Democratic nominee; are vying for the Democratic candidacy for insurance commissioner. In November, the winner will face Republican incumbent John King.

Congress Republicans

Three congressional nominees are being finalised by Republicans. Mike Collins, the owner of a trucking firm; is running against former Democrat Vernon Jones in the 10th Congressional District; which is located east of Atlanta. Jones has Trump’s support but Republican Gov Brian Kemp, fresh off a primary victory over Trump-backed David Perdue; has thrown his support behind Collins, as have other GOP officeholders.

Congress Democrats 

Joyce Marie Griggs is counting on a grassroots effort to urge Democrats to chose her again to fight Republican U.S. Rep. Buddy Carter in Georgia’s 1st District. In 2020, Griggs, a disbarred lawyer, lost to Carter. Wade Herring, a lawyer, has outspent Griggs and told Democrats that he had a greater chance of winning the seat.
