A fire broke out in a warehouse full of motor oil and hazardous items at an Iranian Revolutionary Guard base in the western province of Kemranshah in February, destroying a shed but causing no injuries.

Unconfirmed rumors of several explosions heard in northern Kermanshah, a critical location in Iran with various missile and military sites, had circulated online the day before.

The news comes as Iran continues to be on edge about its shattered nuclear deal with international powers. Negotiations to resurrect the agreement in Vienna have been delayed for months.

Former President Donald Trump pulled the US from the 2015 deal, which provided Iran sanctions relief in exchange for limits on its nuclear program, four years ago, and re-imposed crippling penalties.
