Protesters gathered around Portland Place, urging the government to intervene and assist society’s most vulnerable citizens.
The mob then marched to Parliament Square, where speakers spoke to the audience.

At the march, protesters criticized the controversial Police and Crime Bill, which they worry could limit future demonstrations.
In the gathering, banners with slogans like ‘Cut war, not welfare’ and ‘End fuel poverty, insulate homes now’ could be seen.
‘Nurses not nukes,’ ‘Don’t get angry, get active,’ and ‘Free Assange’ were among the other signs visible.
As the protest snaked its way towards Westminster, protesters could be heard whistling, cheering, and clapping.
Large speakers blasted loud music, including 9 to 5, I Need A Dollar, and Money, Money, Money, with people in attendance singing and dancing along.
The protest was organized by the TUC after the union’s research revealed that workers have lost about £20,000 in wages since 2008 as a result of pay not keeping up with inflation.
