Man dies in an alligator-infested lake

A guy was killed by an alligator while hunting for frisbees in a lake.

The 47-year-old was scuba diving at Taylor Park Disc Golf Course in Largo, Florida, where visitors are urged to be wary of the aggressive reptiles.

“At this point, detectives think the victim was hunting for frisbees in the water when he was attacked by a gator,” stated Largo police.

“There are no swimming signs in the lake.”

According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, a specialist is attempting to extract one alligator from the lake, and specialists will next try to determine if it was involved in the fatality.

Visitors to the disc golf course have reported seeing people looking for lost frisbees to sell for a few dollars.

“These are people who are having a hard time,” Ken Hostnick explained.

“They’ll sometimes dive into the lakes and pull out 40 discs. You may sell them for five dollars each or ten dollars each, depending on the quality.”

While the investigation is ongoing, police are advising people to stay away from the lake.

If true, this would be the first alligator attack in Florida to result in a fatality since 2019, while people and animals have been bitten on occasion.

No one should approach or feed a wild alligator, according to wildlife experts, since the reptiles will link people with food. Alligators were formerly considered endangered in Florida, but they have subsequently thrived and can now be found practically wherever in the state.
