Despite Moldova’s anxiety over the escalation of the war in Ukraine, Natalia Gavrilita, the country’s prime minister, said there is little evidence that Moldova is in immediate danger.

“We are certainly looking for measures to keep the situation peaceful and also to develop the country’s resilience in various areas,” she told.

“In order to maintain social cohesiveness and political stability, we are doing everything we can in terms of social programs, diversifying our industry, and finding alternate energy sources.”
