Can Arslan, 52, was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his next-door neighbor Matthew Boorman.

He threatened and abused the father of three for years, and had just been charged with harassment a week before the murder.

Following ‘long-running parking issues,’ Arslan, dubbed ‘The Terminator,’ committed an ‘attempted massacre’ of his neighbors near Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.

‘I warned them I was going to murder him,’ he said to police officers when he was apprehended seconds after Mr. Boorman was stabbed.

At Bristol Crown Court today, the 52-year-old was sentenced.

‘On that afternoon, for no reason at all, you took the life of a decent family man, robbed his children of their father, his wife of her husband, and his mother and siblings of a much-loved son and brother,’ Mrs. Justice Cutts said in sentencing Arslan to life in prison with a minimum term of 38 years.

Mr. Boorman had previously told jurors that he was “extremely terrified” of what Arslan would do and that he didn’t “know what he’s capable of.”

Mr. Boorman, a GE Aviation engineer, had just returned home from work when Arslan stabbed him.

Sarah, his wife, was present during the attack and attempted to pull Arslan away from her husband.

As a result, she sustained a serious thigh wound.

Mr. Boorman, however, died at the spot, and Arslan sat on his body on October 5 for a ‘triumphant’ cigarette.

Arslan’s neighbors on the Walton Cardiff estate, near Tewkesbury, have been preparing to take legal action against him in order to evict him.

In response to Arslan’s hostility, several people had built pricey security systems.

‘I saw blood and watched him stab Matthew in the side of his face,’ Mrs. Boorman claimed of his murder. Then he stabbed him in the stomach with a knife.

‘I attempted to get him off again, but he just kept stabbing Matthew on the floor like an animal.’

‘He was just stabbing him in the back of the skull, and I fell back and rushed into the house, screaming for help and for neighbors to come and save my husband.’

A compilation of video recordings shot on the day of Mr. Boorman’s death was displayed to jurors at Arslan’s murder trial at Bristol Crown Court.

The scene was described as a “real-life horror movie” by witnesses.

Gloucestershire Police has released some footage after it was played in court, including footage acquired from the officers who apprehended his body-worn cameras.

Arslan is heard yelling at cops and saying, ‘You’re next mother, you’re next,’ while lying on the road with his hands bound about his back.

Arslan had denied murder, saying that his anti-social personality disorder diagnosis reduced the crime to manslaughter due to diminished responsibility.

He did, however, admit to stabbing Mr. Boorman’s wife Sarah and to attempting to murder another neighbor, Peter Marsden.

Despite possessing a personality that was out of the ordinary, the prosecution claimed that Arslan was totally in control of himself and recognized the difference between right and wrong.

The defense maintained that Arslan’s personality illness constituted a mental function anomaly in and of itself, and thus presented a defense to murder.

He was found guilty of murder by a jury of his peers.
