The EU holds Russia responsible for the inaction in restoring Ukrainian ports

• Ukraine is a key global supplier of grain and edible oils.
• Much of its harvest is bottled up because Russia has occupied its ports; or because free ports have been mined to fend off Russian offensives.
• EU trade envoy: “It is time for Russia to stop its aggression”.

EU Trade Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis says, Russia is delaying talks; on a financial arrangement for a proposal to liberate Ukrainian grain; that has been barred from export since Russia’s invasion.

“I believe it is obvious what is preventing it: Russia,” Dombrovskis remarked. “Russia must stop its hostility and stop obstructing Ukrainian food exports.”
