On Wednesday, July 13, shortly before six o’clock in the evening; a stabbing occurred at the 76 gas station on Westminster Boulevard. When police arrived, they discovered East lying on the ground; with an upper torso stab wound. He was taken to the hospital; but, according to Westminster PD, he eventually passed away from his wounds.
Trent William Milsap, 27, of Anaheim, California; was named as the main suspect by Westminster Police following an investigation. Officials claim that Milsap had an active arrest warrant for parole violation; in addition to being on parole for armed robbery.

The department said on Kubo, “Kubo’s ear still aches but he is well on his road to a full recovery”. He stated that the embarrassment of donning the “cone of shame” is his major issue; not the pain in his ears. Thank you to everyone who gave Kubo positive thoughts; he appreciates them and will soon return to work.
The motive behind East’s fatal stabbing earlier in the week is unknown, according to police. The inquiry, according to officials, is still underway. The shooting that resulted in Milsap’s death will be looked at; by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office and the Justice Department.
According to City News Service, East was a Torrance native who competed in motorsports on the NASCAR; U.S. Auto Club; and Automobile Racing Club of America circuits. He won three USAC championships.
