Home explosion in Plano trembles the neighbourhood
West Plano residents were alarmed by a home explosion; even though no one was wounded.
Around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, a house in the 3700 block of Shantara Lane close to Plano West High School; exploded with no one inside, according to the Plano Fire Department.
Thankfully, none of the individuals walking their dogs nearby at the time were hurt. Police confirmed that no additional residences were harmed.
Local resident Terry Slattery described the noise as “nearly sounding like a car wreck or something; just a sudden loud burst and that was the end of it.”
“Was it you? asked each neighbour as they sprinted out of their homes. Was that you? It really shocked me “Chad Petersen was added. “Everyone is really fortunate”. Many dog walkers and neighbourhood walkers are out and about; and I heard there was some debris, so hopefully nothing goes wrong down there.”
After the explosion, technicians from Atmos Energy responded and cut off the gas and power.
The explosion’s origin is still a mystery.
