26-year-old sanitation worker takes his life in Ludhiana
The deceased sanitation worker’s birthday was on Saturday, and his family was planning a surprise party for him. The man allegedly took the dramatic measure after arguing with his wife, according to Ludhiana police.
On Friday at Mohalla Habibganj, a 26-year-old sanitation worker for the municipal corporation (MC) committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan.
The deceased’s family was preparing a surprise party for him because it was his birthday on Saturday. Police said that the man’s extreme action was the result of an argument with his wife.
Based on the father of the deceased’s statement, inquest procedures have been started in accordance with Section 174 of the CrPC.
He reportedly answered a phone call on Friday night and then went to his room on the first level of his home, according to his family. He would not answer the door when they repeatedly knocked, despite their attempts to call him. They were horrified to discover his lifeless body hanging from the ceiling fan when they forced through the door.
The man had solemnized his marriage a year prior, according to the investigating officer, assistant sub-inspector Jagtar Singh. He was previously employed by MC on a contract basis but had just been given a permanent position.
