  • Three people were shot in Wieambilla, west of Brisbane.
  • It’s the bloodiest in years, says Queensland’s police commissioner.
  • The criminals have not yet been apprehended, Carroll said.

In a secluded Queensland, Australia property, two police officers and a member of the public were shot and killed.

Located 270 kilometers (168 miles) west of Brisbane, Wieambilla had received reports of a missing person.

According to a press conference held by the police, the criminals are still at large. As of right now, residents are instructed to stay indoors.

The property was attended by four police officers, according to Queensland Police Commissioner Katarina Carroll.

While another managed to exit the premises, one was “grazed” by a bullet. According to her, both are being treated in a hospital.

The criminals have not yet been apprehended, according to Ms. Carroll, and PolAir, which offers aircraft support to police, is working with specialized troops in the police operation.
