Two detains after gas explosion in Barnsley
After a gas explosion at a Barnsley home left one of them injured, two persons have been taken into custody.
On Saturday night, three crews were dispatched to Cromwell St in Thurnscoe, according to South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue (SYFR).
Police reported that the only person inside the residence at the time, a male in his 30s, was brought to the hospital with non-life threatening wounds.
In connection with the event, the guy and a lady in her 20s were detained for narcotics offences.
According to a South Yorkshire Police spokesperson, emergency personnel are still on the site, and investigations are being conducted to ascertain the details of the event.
“There are no concerns for the wider community,” they said.
According to the fire department, an investigation into the cause of the incident, which took place at approximately 21:00 GMT, is currently underway.
Between Briton Street and Lancaster Street on Cromwell Street was a roadblock, but it has already been removed and the street is now open to traffic.
