Hillwalker goes missing with his dog in Glen Coe
A thorough search is being conducted for a hillwalker who vanished after leaving with his dog for a planned outing in Glen Coe.
Kyle Sambrook, a West Yorkshire native, came in the Highlands on Saturday with the intention of hiking and wild camping with his dog, Bane.
According to Police Scotland, Mr. Sambrook had intended to climb Buachaille Etive M, a 3,353-foot (1,022-meter) mountain.
Volunteers from the RAF mountain rescue team, Glencoe, Lochaber, and Oban have been conducting searches.
The black Peugeot 208 driven by Mr. Sambrook was discovered at Glen Coe’s Three Sisters parking lot.
Mr. Sambrook is described by police as Caucasian, 5 feet 8 inches tall, with a medium build, ash blond short hair, ginger/blond stubble, blue eyes, and a West Yorkshire accent.
He was thought to be dressed in black and khaki Revolution Wraith outdoor pants, black and khaki Merrel hiking boots, a dark and light blue hooded Peter Storm waterproof jacket, and a grey North Face beanie cap.
He was toting a Merrel backpack in grey and yellow.
Medium-sized and white with brown markings on its back, his dog is a beagle.
During his journey, Mr. Sambrook had a green two-person tent.
