Paying respects to three victims of the Cardiff car accident
In a Cardiff car accident that left two others hurt days after the three victims went missing, tributes have been paid to the three people who perished.
The catastrophe claimed the lives of Eve Smith, 21; Rafel Jeanne, 24; and Darcy Ross, 21.
Shane Loughlin, 32, and Sophie Russon, 20 are both hospitalized with critical wounds.
The Volkswagen Tiguan they were travelling in left the A48 and hit trees when the five people inside were out on a night out in Cardiff.
Throughout the course of the weekend, members of the missing group’s family and friends made many requests for information, and the mother of one of the girls claimed she had been instructed not to keep checking the police for developments.
The three women travelled from Porthcawl to Cardiff and were last seen there in the early hours of Saturday.
They had previously been in Newport when Gwent Police received a missing person complaint.
The relatives of the two guys, both from Cardiff, also reported them missing.
Social media has been used to pay tribute, and family members have confirmed the passing of their loved ones.
One of Miss Smith’s relatives wrote: “I will not comment on anyone other than Eve Smith to confirm that she has been confirmed as deceased.
“Thank you for your support and shares and I won’t be answering messages please allow us some time as a family to digest this terrible news.”
