The Ukrainian military claimed that during a series of attacks on energy facilities around the nation on Saturday morning, it employed mobile fire groups and anti-aircraft missile units to destroy 18 Russian cruise missiles.

“18 enemy cruise missiles were destroyed by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units and mobile fire groups,” a post from the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.

According to a separate statement from Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, air defense personnel in the area shot down six missiles that were headed towards the city on Saturday.
