KPK Ramadan Relief Package: Rs10,000 Aid for needy families – Check Eligibility Criteria
During Ramadan, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has introduced an Rs 8 billion Ramadan package to ease financial pressure on citizens, allowing them to observe the holy month without financial worries.
Advisor to the Chief Minister on Finance Muzammil Aslam stated that the provincial government has set aside funds for this initiative, including an additional Rs 5 billion allocated for restarting the health card program.
Under the Ramadan package, eligible families will receive Rs10,000, with a requirement of having a monthly income below Rs27,000 to qualify for the aid. This initiative focuses on supporting vulnerable households, enabling them to observe Ramadan with dignity.
Criticism was aimed at other provincial governments as well, with Aslam noting that Sindh and Punjab had announced smaller relief packages of Rs 3,500 and Rs 5,000, respectively.
The Punjab government recently initiated the Ramadan Nigehban Package program, which includes distributing special hampers containing essential daily use items to eligible families.
The Ramadan relief efforts by the KP government and other provinces aim to assist economically disadvantaged households during the holy month, demonstrating a dedication to social welfare and community solidarity.
