
LHC orders Edu Department to make laws about social media trolling
LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) ordered the Punjab education department to necessary laws to control incidents of harassment and social media trolling in educational institutes.
In the Lahore High Court, a hearing was held on the case against child harassment and social media trolling in schools, in which the Secretary Special Education appeared before the court.
During the hearing, the court said that if the government does not want our children to be saved from suicide, there should be laws to protect children from harassment.
Secretary Special Education told the court that there are already laws in this regard, yes, but it can include teasing.
Later, the court formed a committee headed by the secretary of special education and asked for recommendations and adjourned the further hearing of the case for 10 days.
