PM, COAS Discuss Recent Provocations by India Along LOC

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa called on Prime Minister Imran Khan and discussed important issues.

According to the details, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa arrived at the Prime Minister’s House along with Director General ISI Lt. Gen. Faiz Hamid. The dignitaries discussed professional matters pertaining to Pakistan Army and External and internal security situation.

The Prime Minister and the Army Chief discussed the recent provocations by India along LOC, the growing Indian aggression on the border, and the role of the Pakistan Army for regional peace.

The participants also expressed concerns over continuous human rights violation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir.

Ceasefire violations and frequent provocative measures from Indian forces along Line of Control came under discussion.

It was resolved that the defence of the motherland will be ensured with the support of the entire nation at all cost.

It may be recalled that two days ago, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa had visited the Line of Control. General Qamar Javed Bajwa met the soldiers stationed on the front lines at the LOC and appreciated their high morale.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Pakistan Army said that the Indian Army would be met with a resounding response to any aggression or adventure.

The Army Chief said that the Pakistan Army would ensure the protection of the geographical borders and dignity of the motherland, adding that Indian provocations were a threat to regional peace and stability.

Note that violations of the ceasefire agreement continue on the Line of Control of the Indian Army. Earlier, three civilians, including an elderly woman, were martyred and three civilians, including a 4-year-old girl, were injured in indiscriminate firing by the Indian Army.
