MUET, Smart Mentor sign MoU to deepen cooperation on alumni engagement

MoU signing ceremony was held between Smart Mentor FZ-LLC, Dubai, and Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET) to deepen the cooperation on Alumni Engagement between both the Parties and ultimately to increase MUET’s competitiveness at offering the state-of-the-art Mentoring Product i.e. Smart Mentor for collaboration between existing students and Alma mater of MUET across the globe.

It will allow MUET to assess and evaluate the benefits of emerging technologies by offering complimentary access for three months to the full featured platform.

On this occasion, Waqas Qadeer Soomro, CEO and Founder of  SMARTMENTOR FZ-LLC said that Smart Mentor will provide the platform and associated hosting and access required by MUET to onboard alumni and existing students on the platform in addition Smart Mentor will configure and host the platform with MUET specific branding and the full featured platform with self-signup capabilities, searching and scheduling capabilities as well as video calling facilities for Mentors and Mentees.

On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Tauha Hussain Ali said that University will ensure that their faculty, alumni and  students are effectively notified of the platform and appropriate communication is done to encourage them to sign up on the Smart Mentor platform via, but not limited to, email and social media.

Prof BS Chowdhry, Professor Emeritus and Advisor MUET, mentioned that MUET will conduct onboarding sessions in collaboration with SmartMentor to enable faculty, alumni & students to understand the importance of mentoring and benefits of the platform.

MUET will share feedback received from faculty, alumni & students with Smart Mentor to help improve the platform and its offerings. The Event and seminar was attended by all the Deans and large number of senior faculty.
