PAF conducts Air Show amid ‘Operation Swift Retort’

A magnificent air show conducted under the auspices of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) at Karachi’s sea view to mark the first anniversary of the Feb 27 ‘Operation Swift Retort’.

PAF fighter planes JF-17 Thunder and F-16 participated in the air show and performed flying manoeuvres.

Moreover, a large number of people, including women and children watched the show with great interest.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Governor Sindh Imran Ismail was the chief guest on the occasion.

February 27, 2019, a memorable day for Pakistan as Pakistan Air Force (PAF) shattered Indian dream of invincibility and military supremacy by shooting down two Indian air craft and above all capturing an IAF pilot.

After striking down the Indian fighter jet, Pakistan arrested the pilot, who ejected himself after he hit in the airspace of Pakistan in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

That came as an unexpected setback for India exposing the country’s claims of supremacy in the military power.

Hours after shooting down the IAF jets, Pakistan military released a video statement of the captured Indian pilot.

“I’m wing commander Abhinandan and my service number is 27981,” the arrested Indian pilot said in his video statement.

“I’m a flying pilot of the Indian air force (IAF),” he continued in his statement.
