Amy Dowden finally marries fiancé Ben Jones after cancelling 2020 wedding

Amy Dowden Strictly Come Dancing star has finally tied the knot with fiancé Ben Jones following previous delays on their big day due to Covid.

The 31-year-old professional dancer wed her love on Saturday at a five-star wedding location in the Gower Peninsula in South Wales.

The happy couple had originally planned to wed in July 2020, but due to significant delays over Covid limitations, they postponed the wedding until now in order to make sure that all of their friends and family could attend their big day.

Amy revealed that their private ceremony was all she had ever imagined it would be.

“It was a stunning venue. I always knew I wanted to get married in Wales,” she told.

“The day was a celebration of Ben and me.”

Some members of Amy’s Strictly family, including her exquisite bridesmaid Dianne Buswell, were among the celebrity guests at the stunning event.

Ben proposed to Amy on New Year’s Eve of that same year.

The Strictly star’s relationship with Ben began in 2011, but they opted to keep it a secret for six years after admitting they were worried about what their dancing coaches would think.

Amy finally got to enjoy her hen-do in May before her wedding festivities after deciding to put off their wedding day until yesterday.

The Strictly contestant delighted her followers by sharing a number of pictures from her celebrity-studded bachelorette party, which she paired with her fiancé’s stag party to form an unified “sten” party.

Amy took to Instagram to share a string of photos from the fun-filled sten party as she wrote: “After a busy but exciting few days filming for dare to dance only now getting round to posting from a fantastic afternoon Sunday.

“Thank you to our parents at @artinmotion.dance for mine and Ben’s sten party. Such a fun afternoon full of crazy and fabulous surprises. Loved the games. Sorry boys but team bride definitely won”.
