The Biden administration and senators on both sides of the aisle have committed to ending Russia’s war in Ukraine. The sums already pledged to Kyiv exceed what the US spent in Afghanistan’s first five years.

The Biden administration handed Ukraine $400 million to assist in bringing back its forces and blocking Russian advances.

The current package, which comes only days after Putin declared victory over eastern Luhansk, however reportedly produced in consultation with Ukrainian officials depending on what they require on the front lines.

Ukraine requires howitzers and High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) to target Russian command and control areas behind the front lines.

The Pentagon revealed Friday that the U.S. had provided $8 billion in security aid since February.

Congress gave $54 billion in foreign and military aid to stop Putin.

Traditional methods however used to fund Ukraine, NATO, and the U.S. military in Europe.

The US spent $7.4 billion in 2006 fighting the Taliban. By 2011, the 20-year war cost $11.4 billion.

Biden and other western politicians have vowed to help Ukraine “forever.”
